Sydney
After 7 years in Dubai we have moved back to Australia again. There were a lot of positive things about living in UAE and we made many friends during our 9 years in the Middle East - many of whom have also moved on by now. Owen finished his high school in June 2017 and so for our family this was a natural time to be moving. Fortunately I was able to organise a new position in Sydney with my company and so at the end of July we caught the plane to our new home. We found a house to rent within a couple of weeks, and Liam was able to start back at high school straight away. Owen's uni started in March 2018 and so we're now all in the rhythm of our new routines, and everyone is pretty happy with how things have lined up for now. People often ask "are you going to stay here for good now?" - I suspect the answer is no, but we're delighted to be here while we can.
