Preparing for some major trips
It's now only two weeks until we leave Melbourne, and everyone in the family is now pretty excited.
We're starting on 8 June with a three week holiday in China. During this time we'll visit a range of the main tourist sites: Beijing and the Great Wall, Xi'an, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shanghai and finally Hong Kong. We'll be traveling by train between these various cities. Liam has really enjoyed the stories and puzzles from the book "Alex and Penny in China", which includes several of the places that we'll be visiting.
We'll finish up in Hong Kong on 30 June, with Peter then flying on to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia where he starts work on 1 July. The rest of the family will return to Melbourne instead, and will be doing some more packing so that we can hand over the house. After some final family visits everyone will then head over to Riyadh in August.
