A traditional holiday

Both Maree and I have taken a couple of weeks off work during June. Plenty of people asked where we were going for holiday - doing the traditional Melbourne winter thing of a holiday in Queensland? No, we've gone for the other grand tradition ... take some holidays to RENOVATE!

With our townhouse being just under 3 years old there is actually fairly limited scope for renovation, however we've decided to strip all of the downstairs floor surfaces - the old white tiles and cheap green carpet - and replace the lot with new ceramic tiles.

Maree and the boys were here during all of the prep work, however they're staying with Maree's parents for a few days while access to the house is completely stuffed up during the tiling. Here are a few pics of the place today as Rob & Nick have been at work:
